Fall 2017 Letter from the General Director

Praise the LORD precious AIM brethren of the Philippines!

“Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.”  – Lamentations 3:41

As you know I have consistently made two missionary trips a year to minister to the people of the Philippines since becoming General Director of Apostolic Independent Missions (AIM) over six years ago. But it is with a heavy heart that I write to tell you that due to unexpected circumstances here in the USA, I am unable to travel as planned to the Philippines for our second trip of 2017. Now we trust in all the ways of God and we know He has all things in control for the greater blessings of the people who love Him.

For that reason, I am thrilled that Elder John Slage and Elder Robert March will be traveling to the Philippines this week to continue the work of AIM during my absence. They both carry a great burden for the work of AIM. I know God will use them to help carry on the great work of seeing ministers trained and churches further established in the Apostles’ Doctrine of true holiness and worship.

Great things have been happening in 2017 for the faithful ministries and precious saints of AIM. Earlier this year, Apostolic Independent Missions celebrated 35 years with the historic transition from the final meetings at Mt. Olives Christian Academy in Mandaue City to our new facilities in Lapu Lapu City. While our new national headquarters is a beautiful property, it is also a beautiful opportunity to improve the spirit of unity and cooperation between our churches and our AIM brothers and sisters.

There is still much work to be done at our national headquarters and God will make a way. He always does. But we also need the cooperation of our churches and our AIM brothers and sisters to see the work start to produce fruit. I will be in close touch with Elder Slage and certainly trust his ability to continue the work during this season. I trust you will honor him with your full respect and cooperation both in and out of the pulpit.

I salute all of you in the lovely name of Jesus and want you to be confident of my love and prayers for the beautiful people of the Philippines! I miss all of you that my heart has grown so fond of in the last six years. Be encouraged and let us be “laborers together” as God has called us and please pray for us!

Love and prayers,

Bishop Couch
