Praise the Lord my faithful Filipino Brothers!
It is my desire to stay in touch during these troubled times. We have never carried any greater a burden nor prayed more often, for all of you, as we are in these days.
Although we have saints coming by the church all through the day and night praying, this night (Tuesday) will be the first day that we have missed a service due to the social distancing that our Governor has asked for our state. We continue to stay very positive that God is in control! continually we are asking God to stir the backslider and sinner and draw them to Him.
I want to share a Bible class with you that I taught our church in recent days.
Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.
“YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS WITH GOD!”
This text would generally be a good place for some One God teaching and shouting!!! The trinitarians want to say this is two persons and two different hands. But I know who Jesus is!! I also know what He has promised to do! And know it is impossible for Him to lie!! We oneness Apostolic believers know Jesus settled it when he said in verse 30 “I and my Father are one!!!” You can’t separate God and His body! 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh…
Jesus, the God-man, is shown to be:
- the finger of God – Luke 11:20
- arm of God – Isa. 53:1
- blood of God – Acts 20:28
- body of God – John 1:14, 18; John 14:7, 9; Col 1:15
- and life of God!! – 1 John 3:16
And here in our text we find, also, the hand of God!!
167 times in the KJV Bible it speaks of the right hand. Revealing it’s importance and showing is used for:
- Greetings: it is thought that a right hand shake has been part of the human race for 6000 years. It shows there is no weapon in the hand and the intention is peaceful and friendly.
- In 2 Sam 20:9 And Joab said to Amasa, Art thou in health, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right hand to kiss him. (Obviously, if you know the story, Joab used this as a greeting of deceit)
- This greeting was usual for the eastern people to do when they addressed and saluted one another in an affectionate way, and some still do to this day…
- Distinguishing Direction: Abraham and Lot. Genesis 13:9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
- The Bible message is to follow God in the RIGHT way!
- Strength and skill: Exo 15:6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
- Psa 137:5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
- Psa 17:7 Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
- Psa 18:35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
- Psa 20:6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
- Psa 44:3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
- Psa 63:8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. (benefit)
- Favor: Psa 45:9 Kings’ daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
- The idea here is that the Church, the bride, as seen in the vision, is exalted to the highest post of honor. That His Church has the place in His affections which the newly-married bride has in the affections of her husband. God loves His church!!!
- Psa 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
- Dual Favor of wisdom: Pro 3:16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
- Causing us to understand that God’s wisdom blesses with both hands!!
If we miss God’s right hand of favor, through this Great salvation, then we are on His left hand of disfavor. Mat 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
- Sheep submit to the Shepherd’s rod and staff, which provides both comfort and correction, while goats will not be corrected and must suffer the disfavor or wrath of God!
- Defense: Psa 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and
beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared
for my soul.
- The “right hand” is referred to here as the direction where he might look for a protector.
- Psa 109:31 For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul. (Our great God is the defender of the poor)
Ecc 10:2 A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.
- The metaphor perhaps means “A wise man’s heart is in a guarded place; but a fool’s heart is not”
- Proverbs 4:23 Keep (or guard) thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
CLOSE: Rev 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
What a glorious truth. The seven stars, representing His ministry, is in His right hand! That special place!! All his favor, strength, skill, defense, and power!!!! We are blessed my brothers to be used by the hand of God. Let us do our absolute best for Him!!
Then John was shown that in this traumatic time of his life, when he was banished to the isle of Patmos, God was there to lay his right hand on John. The blessing that John got that day has been a blessing to the church every since through the book of Revelation!
May we never forget the promise of God’s right hand on our lives!
Isa 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
There is a foundational doctrine of laying on of hands in Heb 6:1-2. We are not only in His hands but are His hands transposing His power to the lives of those we touch with this great Apostolic Truth!
Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Mark 16:18 …they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This includes flu and corona-viruses!
Psalms 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
“YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS WITH GOD!”
God bless you all! Please share this with all you will. I trust it will be a blessing.
Love & Prayers!
