Praise the LORD precious brethren of AIM!
We thank God for the tremendous services of the 35th Annual AIM National Convention which marked the historic final meetings at Mt. Olives Christian Academy in Mandaue City and the beginning of our transition to our new national headquarters in Lapu Lapu City. We were delighted to hold an open house during convention week in which many of our brothers and sisters from across the Philippines were able to walk through our new property and personally see its magnificence firsthand and rejoice with us in saying, “Look what the LORD has done!”
We were also able to hold the first of many ministers’ training meetings in these new facilities, as well as hold combined church services with the three local area churches.
While our new national headquarters is a beautiful property, it is also a beautiful opportunity to improve the spirit of unity and cooperation between our churches and our AIM brothers and sisters.
We thank God for the good spirit of unity and cooperation that was demonstrated by our AIM brothers and sisters in the days before and after the National Convention where much cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and yard work was accomplished. It is our prayer that all the people of AIM will receive a burden for the national headquarters and that this level of cooperation and hard work will continue in our absence.
Thankfully, Bro. Fernando Berondo has agreed to keep watch over the property and to continue as caretaker with the maintainance, repairs and upkeep. We encourage all willing individuals to work with him and provide any labor and assistance they can. There is still need for more cleaning and painting of the buildings, rooms and the gate and wall around the facility. There is also need for welding and repairs on the exterior steel stairs, as well as the water towers.
Plans are now being made to contract for repairs and replacement of gutters and paint roofs. In the future we will remove the first floor walls in the tabernacle to enlarge the sanctuary so we can accommodate larger congregations for future convention services. While much has already been accomplished, there is so much more to do to make this property fully functional as our new national headquarters!
I am excited to announce Pastor Ronnie Rodriguez has accepted the appointment of Missionary Advisor until our return in September. We greatly appreciate his willingness to work with us and his burden for souls and the efforts of AIM.
We are also grateful for the many brothers and sisters that work closely with us in various capacities to accomplish all that we can for the glory of God. Walking in holiness, serving with integrity, fervent in labor; certainly we must all redeem the time and work diligently while it is day.
Already I am missing you that my heart has grown so fond of in the last six years I have been General Director of AIM. Be encouraged and let us be “laborers together” as God has called us and please pray for us!
Love and prayers,
Bishop Couch
