With a profound sense of honor, admiration, and loss, we are deeply heartbroken in announcing that Bishop Michael Ray Couch, 70, General Director of Apostolic Independent Missions, Inc., and Founding Pastor of Apostolic Tabernacle in Winnsboro, Louisiana, passed from this life today after a courageous battle with a brief illness.
Bishop Couch stood out as a giant among preachers, unmistakable in his clarity, conviction, and unwavering commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and the Acts 2:38 Oneness message. Since he energetically assumed the directorship of AIM in 2010 at the direction of AIM founder, Elder Donald Lance, he embraced the work with a deep love for the Filipino people—shown in his ministry, his friendships, and his steady commitment to the churches and pastors across the Philippines.
Bishop Couch’s life and ministry left a deep and enduring mark on all who knew him. We honor his memory, acknowledge his faithful service, and give thanks for the lasting impact his wisdom, kindness and unwavering dedication leaves upon the Kingdom of God and countless lives in the Philippines.
Details regarding memorial arrangements will be shared as they become available.
